Leigh, a former member of the light crew, is one of the few non-musicians to make a musical appearance with Phish. He appeared in costume to sing “Bell Boy” during the Quadrophenia musical costume on Halloween, 10/31/95.
Fans are probably more familiar with him from the opening line of “46 Days”: “Leigh Fordham sold me out.” His name also popped up on 11/16/96 in bizarre references during “Axilla” and “Harry Hood.”
Leigh was loved for decades for his work with many bands. He passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019, in a truck accident.
